Premier fire and emergency services conference with training sessions, workshops, hands-on demonstrations and the Industrial Fire Summit.
FDIC International returns to the Indiana Convention Center from April 12 to 17, 2027, bringing together fire and emergency services professionals from across the globe. It's a full week of training sessions, workshops, and networking, with the Convention Center at 100 S Capitol Ave serving as the main hub, though sessions also run at Lucas Oil Stadium and Union Hall at 748 Massachusetts Ave. If you're in the field, it's one of the biggest gatherings of the year for the industry.
The main draw is the training. You'll find classroom sessions and hands-on demonstrations, and a good chunk of the week is spent on the show floor, where you can get a look at the latest firefighting and emergency response technologies. Between the sessions, there's plenty of room to connect with other responders and experts from around the world.
One of the standouts is the Industrial Fire Summit, a two-day program run in partnership with the IAFC. It brings together fire service and industrial safety leaders to talk through the specific challenges facing industrial and municipal responders. The classroom sessions are taught by responders who actually work in plants, terminals, and refineries, and industrial vendors are on the show floor to show what they're working on. Past attendees have included names like ExxonMobil, Shell, Valero, Chevron Phillips Chemical, BMW Manufacturing, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney, Michelin/BFGoodrich, Duke Energy Nuclear, Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, and Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals.
