Luncheon hosted by the Economic Club of Indiana with Austan D. Goolsbee, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Austan Goolsbee will be at The Indiana Roof Ballroom on Thursday, November 19, for a luncheon hosted by the Economic Club of Indiana. Goolsbee is the president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and he sits on the Federal Open Market Committee, the Fed's monetary policymaking body. He took the helm of the Chicago Fed in January 2023, so he's been leading the regional bank for a few years now.
Before that, he spent years as the Robert P. Gwinn Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he first joined the faculty in 1995. He's a Fulbright Scholar and an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow, and from 2009 through 2011 he served as a member and then chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers—a role that put him in the president's cabinet. He holds a PhD in economics from MIT and a BA and MA in economics from Yale.
