Annual signature fundraiser and community-impact program celebrating the transformative role of sports across Indiana, featuring awards for Tracy Wolfson and JoAn Scott.
Indiana Sports Corp brings back its annual State of Sports fundraiser on Wednesday, November 4, at the JW Marriott Indianapolis. It's their signature event of the year, open to the public, and it centers on the role sports play across the state. The night is built around two awards that recognize people who've made a real impact through sport.
This year, the Inspiring Sports Storyteller Award goes to Tracy Wolfson, the Emmy Award-winning CBS Sports reporter. It's an award for journalists whose stories show how sport can inspire people to invest in their community. The second is the Jim Morris Pathfinder Award, which goes to JoAn Scott, the recently retired NCAA Vice President of Men's Basketball. Scott carries on the legacy of Jim Morris, who spent his career making a lasting community impact through sport. Both awards are presented during the main program, so you'll hear from them and the people recognizing their work.
Beyond the awards, the evening is a fundraiser for Indiana Sports Corp's mission to enrich the lives of Hoosiers through sport. The program is the core of it, but there's a reception afterward to keep the night going. If you're coming with a group or as a student, there are group and student tickets available—you'll just need to contact Lily Warren at Indiana Sports Corp to sort those out.
