Monthly adult book discussion group at the Warren Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library, where members pick their own reading lists.
The Adult Book Discussion meets at the Warren Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Thursday, November 5, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. It's part of the branch's monthly program, so if you miss this one, there's another coming up soon after.
One of the best things about this group is that it's member-run: the group picks its own reading lists rather than following a set curriculum. If you're curious about what they're reading, the lists are available at the branch, so you can see what's on the table before you commit. And if you've never been, new members are always welcomeβyou don't need to have been there from the start to jump in.
The meeting is at the Warren Branch, 9701 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. It's a 16,000-square-foot library serving Warren Township, located next to Lakeside Elementary School and northeast of Warren Central High School. The branch opened in 1974, though it's had a bit of a history: a fire in 1979 forced it to close for seven months, and a $1.1 million renovation completed in 2016 was its first major overhaul since it first opened. It's a well-established spot in the neighborhood, and the book discussion is one of the regular things that keep it humming.
