Monthly adult book discussion on 'Mycroft Holmes' by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Anna Waterhouse at the Fort Ben Branch library.
Fort Ben Branch hosts the next adult book discussion on Tuesday, November 10, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This month's pick is Mycroft Holmes, a historical mystery co-authored by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Anna Waterhouse. The session is part of the Indianapolis Public Library's monthly adult book discussion program, which runs on the second Tuesday of every month.
If you're not already familiar with the book, Mycroft Holmes takes the Holmes name back to its roots. Abdul-Jabbar and Waterhouse place the legendary detective's older brother in a historical setting, so it's a mystery that leans into the era rather than the modern day. It's a good one to come to the table with, whether you've read every Sherlock story out there or you're just getting into the world.
Copies of the month's book are available to check out at the branch, and you can also get it as an e-book through OverDrive or Libby if you prefer reading on a screen. If you're planning to join, grabbing your copy a bit early gives you plenty of time to finish before the discussion.

The meeting is at Fort Ben Branch, the library's 22,000-square-foot branch at 9330 East 56th Street. It was the first library branch in Indiana to become a Certified Autism Center, and its rooftop solar photovoltaic system provides 80% of the building's electricity needs. The discussion runs from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, November 10.
