Concert by singer-songwriter Trish Toledo at The Heights Theater, featuring classic pop and soul ballads.
Trish Toledo plays The Heights Theater on Friday, November 13, 2026. She's the sole bill for the night, so the whole set belongs to her.
Toledo comes from Carson, California, a community south of Los Angeles, born into an Ecuadorian-Guatemalan family. Her father was a musician, and her first musical memories are cumbias and ballads, though she felt most connected to the pop and soul ballads of the past. She put her musical aspirations on hold after becoming a teen parent, and didn't pick them back up until May 2017, when her 11-year-old son encouraged her to resume her musical journey.
Her approach to recording is old-school: she tracks in one take, all the way through, without punch-ins or overdubs. She draws from a classic catalog, choosing songs whose themes mirror her own life experiences. When she isn't performing or recording, she spends time at art shows, with a particular draw toward the vibrant visuals of Chicano art—something her tattoos bear witness to. The show is open to all ages.
