Thee Sinseers perform their R&B and soul album Love Stories, with special guests The Charities.
Thee Sinseers bring their Love Stories tour to The Heights Theater on Thursday, October 29, with The Charities opening. It's a night of R&B and soul, and the set is built around the band's latest album, Love Stories, released on Colemine Records.
Fronted by bandleader Joey Quiñones, an East Los Angeles native, Thee Sinseers have been working in R&B and soul since they formed in 2019. They've always approached the style through a modern lens, and Love Stories leans into earthier instrumentation: standup bass and guitars run through amplifiers for a warmer, sixties-adjacent tone. The songs expand the frame of romantic relationships to include the familial, the complicated, and the unresolved, so the record looks at love from a few different angles rather than sticking to one.
