The Secret Sisters perform live with special guest Caleb Elliott at The Heights Theater.
The Secret Sisters play The Heights Theater on Sunday, December 13, with Caleb Elliott opening. The sisters are Laura Rogers and Lydia Slagle, Alabama-bred siblings who've been singing together since their self-titled debut in 2010. That record launched a career built on their close harmonies and songs about the complexities of life, love and womanhood.
They're touring their fifth album, Mind, Man, Medicine, which they co-produced with Ben Tanner and John Paul White of The Civil Wars. They recorded it at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals and Sun Drop Sound in Florence, with contributions from Alabama Shakes' Zac Cockrell and multi-instrumentalist Larry Campbell. Writing as young mothers, the duo leaned into more personal territory on this one, and Ray LaMontagne lends his voice to the track "All The Ways."
It's not their first time in the spotlight. Their 2020 album Saturn Return earned a Grammy nomination and was co-produced by Brandi Carlile. Between that and the new record, there's a good stretch of material to draw from.
