Concert featuring blues artist Tab Benoit with special guest Jesse Dayton at The Heights Theater.
Tab Benoit brings his swampy Delta blues to The Heights Theater on Wednesday, November 18, with American singer and songwriter Jesse Dayton opening the bill. Benoit is a four-time Grammy nominee who's spent more than 30 years playing a gritty, soulful brand of Louisiana blues. He's picked up five Blues Music Awards along the way, including two as BB King Entertainer of the Year, and has a spot in the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
He's worked with some heavy names over the years, recording and performing with Junior Wells, Dr. John, Willie Nelson, Billy Joe Shaver, and Anders Osborne. That last one stuck: his 2013 album Medicine, which he recorded with Osborne, took home three Blues Music Awards. After a 13-year sabbatical, he came back with I Hear Thunder on Whiskey Bayou Records, his first number one on the Billboard charts in over three decades.

Benoit does more than just play, too. He founded Voice of the Wetlands, an organization he set up to protect Louisiana's coastal waters, and starred in the iMax documentary Hurricane on the Bayou. The night starts with Jesse Dayton, an American singer and songwriter, before Benoit takes over the stage. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. Tickets range from $42.50 to $676.00.
