Kat Edmonson brings her holiday album Have Your Merry Christmas With Me to the stage at The Heights Theater.
Kat Edmonson plays The Heights Theater on Monday, December 21, as part of her 2026 holiday tour. She's a Houston native, born and raised here, and a Songwriters Hall of Fame award-winning composer whose work pulls from jazz, pop, folk, and the Great American Songbook. The New York Times described her as having an equal foothold in jazz, cabaret, and vintage cosmopolitan pop.
The show centers on Have Your Merry Christmas With Me, her holiday album released on November 6. It's a lush, witty, soulful record that plays like the soundtrack to a classic romantic comedy. The set reimagines standards like Nancy Wilson's "That's What I Want For Christmas," The Andrews Sisters' "I'd Like To Hitch a Ride with Santa Claus," and Wham!'s "Last Christmas," alongside her own originals, "Have Your Merry Christmas With Me" and "Hush! There's a Falling Snow."
Edmonson has a long track record beyond the holiday season. She's appeared on Austin City Limits, NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts, A Prairie Home Companion, and The Tonight Show, and has played Carnegie Hall, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and the Blue Note in Japan. This date brings her back to her hometown for a night of holiday music.
