Pop-up market with local vendors, crafts and food at Dan Electro's, anchored by live music from the Texas Cyclone Band.
The Houston Business Group is bringing its pop-up market to Dan Electro's on Sunday, November 8, with the Texas Cyclone Band providing the live music. It's a double-header of a Sunday afternoon: a local makers' market and a live set, both running from 2 PM to 6 PM.
The market side of the day gathers local vendors, unique crafts, and food into one room, and the Houston Business Group bills it as a chance to support local businesses and find one-of-a-kind treasures. If you're into browsing handmade goods and eating while you shop, that's the draw. The Texas Cyclone Band anchors the afternoon, so you can drift between the stalls and the stage as you please.
For those who haven't spent much time there, Dan Electro's is a Heights neighborhood stage that's been open since 1988. It started when a Heights bungalow was converted into one of the city's most storied listening rooms, and the list of names that have played there reads like a who's who of guitar and rock: Greg Allman, Billy Gibbons, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and even Richard Gere. It still keeps that spirit alive with a weekly Tuesday Music Jam & Mixer, so it's a room that knows its way around a live set.
