Heather Shaw (The Today Show) Headlines The Riot Comedy Club

Heather Shaw headlines The Riot Comedy Club on Saturday, October 10, with two showtimes to choose from: 7 PM and 9 PM. If you've seen her name around lately, it's probably because she's a seasoned comic who's been featured on The Today Show — that's the same national platform that usually catches a comic's attention right before they're touring their own headlining dates. This is a stand-up night, so it's just her and the mic, no opening act listed.

Shaw has been working the circuit for a while, and that Today Show appearance is a good shorthand for where she's at: a professional who knows how to hold a room. When a comic headlines their own night, they're the main feature, which means the whole evening is built around their set rather than a mixed bill of several different performers. If you've caught her on a showcase before, this is the full-length version.

The Riot Comedy Club is over at 1925 Washington Ave in Houston, right in the heart of the city. Having two showtimes on the same night — 7 PM and 9 PM — gives you a bit of flexibility: you can go early and be home by ten, or head out later in the evening. Tickets start at $101, with the average sitting around $117. If you're planning to go, it's worth picking your time slot early, since the two shows will likely fill at different rates.
