Exhibition of authentic plastinated human specimens revealing the inner workings of the human body, organised around seven systems.
Body Worlds: Inside Life opens at The Health Museum on Saturday, October 10, and it's not your usual museum visit. The exhibition features real human specimens preserved through plastination—a process that replaces water and fat in the tissues with polymers, keeping the anatomy intact so you can see it exactly as it is. Rather than just showing individual organs in isolation, this one is built around how the body's systems work together to keep you alive.
The exhibition is organized into seven sections, each focusing on a different part of the machine. Breath of Life covers the respiratory system; Flow of Life takes on the circulatory system; Fuel for Life looks at the digestive system; Inner Balance focuses on the kidneys and internal regulation; The Signal Network is all about the nervous system; Continuity of Life covers the reproductive system; and Built to Move brings together the bones, muscles, and joints. You'll be able to see the organs, muscles, and nerves that move oxygen, circulate blood, turn food into energy, process information, and keep the body in balance.

Because it's an exhibition and not a single-night event, you've got plenty of time to work your way through it. It opens on October 10 and runs through autumn 2028, so if you can't make it this weekend, you can come back later in the year. You'll find it at The Health Museum, 1515 Hermann Drive, Houston, TX 77004.
