An evening of outdoor West Coast Swing dancing held under the Gazebo on the Halifax Waterfront, open to all skill levels.
West Coast Swing takes over the Waterfront Gazebo on Friday, August 14, for an outdoor dancing session on the Halifax Waterfront. It runs from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and the whole thing is free.
The Gazebo puts you right in the middle of the waterfront's summer rhythm. From there, you've got a clear view of George's Island and the steady stream of ships, sailboats and kayaks passing by, with people fishing off the dock nearby. It's a spot that feels like the city's summer in a single frame, and on this night, the music and the dancing happen right in the thick of it.
One of the best things about this session is that it's open to everyone, including those who don't know West Coast Swing. You don't have to be a dancer to get something out of it; you're welcome to just hang out and enjoy the music, the dancing and the company. Whether you want to get on the floor or just watch the evening unfold from the edge, there's a place for you.
