Halifax's premier electronic music festival featuring legendary and emerging electronic acts across multiple stages at the historic Citadel.
Vibrancy Festival returns to the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site from Friday 14 August to Sunday 16 August 2026, with the main stages running until 1:30 AM. This year's edition is presented by Grand Oasis Stage, and it's built around the underground electronic music that's been a part of the city's scene for years. The festival's format pairs legendary acts responsible for decades of music evolution with the scene's most in-demand up-and-comers, so you'll find the older names that helped shape the sound alongside the newer ones currently making a name for themselves.
On the bill so far is 1-800 GIRLS, who play on Friday 14 August starting at 6:00 PM. The festival describes itself as Halifax's premier electronic experience, and that's a fair summary of what it does: it brings the city's underground electronic music out into the open, putting the underground sound on a proper stage. The main stages run until 1:30 AM, and they'll announce after-parties later on, so if you're planning to stay out past the early hours, keep an eye out for those.
