A decadent dinner journey through Piedmont with world-class wines and rare seasonal delicacies, featuring black and white truffles.
Ragazzi Restobar is hosting a Truffle Festival Dinner on Saturday, August 15, starting at 7:00 pm. The evening is set up as a culinary journey through Piedmont, with the menu moving through the region's wines and seasonal delicacies. It's a multi-course affair that runs from an antipasto of carpaccio with shaved black truffle and aioli foam to a white wine primo of mafaldine with lobster tail. The secondo is a Nebbiolo-paired espresso-dusted filet of beef served with grilled radicchio in white truffle oil, followed by a Barolo dolce and a Nutella pizza to finish.
That's a fair amount of food to work through in one sitting, and the wine pairings are built around the region the menu is drawing from. The black truffle appears right at the start, and the white truffle oil comes in with the beef, so the truffle theme holds from the first course through to the main. The lobster tail and the espresso-dusted beef are the two big proteins of the night, and the Nutella pizza is a sweet, casual way to close out the meal.
