Live Neil Diamond tribute show led by Zac Coombs and an international band, with singalong moments, at the Bruce Guthro Theatre.
The Sweet Caroline Tour comes to The Bruce Guthro Theatre at Casino Nova Scotia on Thursday, April 22, 2027. It's a tribute to Neil Diamond, led by Australian artist Zac Coombs and backed by a handpicked international band. The show is fully live and built for theatres, combining musicianship and visual elements with storytelling and plenty of singalong moments.
Over the course of the evening, the set works through more than five decades of Diamond's songbook. You'll hear the ones everyone knows — 'Sweet Caroline', 'Cherry, Cherry', 'Cracklin' Rosie', 'Red Red Wine', 'Forever in Blue Jeans', 'Song Sung Blue', 'Heartlight', 'I Am... I Said' and 'Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon'. It's a long run of songs that spans the early days and the later years, so there's a fair bit of ground covered in one night.
Coombs describes the show as a tribute created especially for theatres, and the singalong parts are a good part of that — the kind of thing that works better when you're in a room with other people than listening on your own. The band is fully live, so it's not a playback set; they're playing the songs from the stage.
