The Halifax Busker Festival returns to the Halifax Waterfront from July 30 to August 3, 2026, marking its 40th year as a fixture of the city's summer. It's one of those long-running events that's become part of the seasonal rhythm here, bringing street performers and musicians to the waterfront for a few days of open-air entertainment.
The festival doesn't stick to one spot. Instead, it spreads across several stages along the harbour, from the Halifax Seaport to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Sackville Landing and Foundation Wharf. That means you can wander between the different sites and catch a few different acts in one afternoon, rather than staying put at a single stage. With dozens of performers involved, the lineup covers a wide range of street arts and music, and the multiple stages keep things moving across the waterfront.
