Celebrate Thanksgiving with a festive dinner at Seaport Social in Downtown Halifax, featuring local ingredients and hand-crafted cocktails.
Seaport Social is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, October 11, and Monday, October 12, in downtown Halifax. It's a two-day affair, so you can pick whichever night works better for your plans.
The venue is in the lobby of The Westin Nova Scotian, right in the Seaport District. If you've been there, you know the spot—it's easy to get to and puts you right by the water. The dinner is the main event, a festive spread to mark the holiday.
To get a feel for the place, it helps to know what they usually do. Seaport Social builds its menu around a 'Taste of the Coast' experience, which is exactly what it sounds like: a focus on local ingredients, innovative dishes, and hand-crafted cocktails. The maritime-leaning card leans on fresh, seasonal, and locally inspired fare, rounded out with locally distilled spirits and Nova Scotia wines. Everything comes from the kitchen of executive chef Christopher Chafe.

If you're thinking about other nights, the room has a regular live following too: every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 pm to 7 pm, Halifax native Paul Brushett plays guitar live and free, open to all ages. But for the holiday, the focus is on the dinner. It runs October 11 and 12 at Seaport Social in the Seaport District.
