Josh Johnson is playing the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium on Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8. He's a stand-up comedian, actor, and Emmy-nominated writer from Louisiana by way of Chicago, with more than 10 million followers across social media. WIRED once called him 'the funniest guy on the internet'.
He's a rotating host and correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show and an NAACP award winner. He puts out weekly stand-up sets on his YouTube channel, and in 2025 he released 38 hours of topical stand-up performed in front of a live audience. His specials, Josh Johnson: Everybody's Dead and Up Here Killing Myself, have both drawn critical acclaim.
The Rebecca Cohn Auditorium opened in 1971 inside Dalhousie University's Arts Centre at 6101 University Ave. It's a Halifax cultural landmark known for its acoustics and for being an intimate yet grand setting. These shows are presented by MRG Live and are restricted to ages 16 and over.

There are two nights to choose from. On Friday, August 7, doors open at 6:00 PM and the show starts at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, August 8, doors open at 4:00 PM and the show starts at 5:00 PM. Tickets are listed from C$33.
