Heavy metal concert featuring Iron Kingdom, W.M.D, Hogtooth and Halifax's Brain Grenade at Gus' Pub & Grill.
Iron Kingdom play Gus' Pub & Grill on Wednesday 12 August, part of the Canadian leg of their True North Strong and Heavy Tour. They're coming from Vancouver, where they formed in 2011, and they've spent more than a decade championing traditional heavy metal. The sound they've built is based on twin-guitar harmonies and melodic, adventurous metal, and they've drawn from titans like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, The Scorpions and Rush.
This date is one stop on a tour that takes them across Canada, and the band has announced Shadows and Dust (2026) as the start of their next era. If you've followed them for a while, you'll know the twin-guitar sound is their calling card, and that's what they're bringing to the Halifax stage.
They aren't playing alone. Joining them is Canadian thrash metal force W.M.D, who are touring their sophomore album Against All Warnings. The bill is rounded out by guests Hogtooth and Halifax's own Brain Grenade, so there's a local act in the mix as well. Between the four of them, it's a full night of heavy metal, with the thrash of W.M.D and the traditional style of Iron Kingdom leading the way.
