HFX Wanderers FC take on Forge FC at The Wanderers Grounds on Sunday, August 2, with kick-off at 7:00 PM. It's a Canadian Premier League clash between two clubs from opposite ends of the country: the Wanderers, based right here in Halifax, and Forge, coming in from Hamilton.
The Wanderers have been around since 2018, and they've finished in the top half of the CPL table four times, with a club-best third-place finish in 2023. They've also made back-to-back quarterfinal appearances in the Canadian Championship in 2021 and 2022. Over the years, the roster has produced two Golden Boot winners, a CPL Player of the Year, and a Coach of the Year, along with nominations for Goalkeeper and Defender of the Year. Forge is one of the league's most successful sides, with multiple CPL championships to their name.
The match is played at The Wanderers Grounds, which fans call 'The Kitchen'. It's a 6,500-seat stadium on Halifax Common, Canada's oldest urban park, and it's hosted sporting events for more than a century. It was renovated in 2018 to become a professional soccer venue, and the Wanderers led the league in attendance for three straight seasons between 2021 and 2023.

Tickets start at C$24.95. General admission grandstands in The Kitchen are from C$25.94 for all ages, and reserved seating grandstands are C$36.50 for adults and C$25.10 for youth under 12; kids two and under get in free. Kick-off is 7:00 PM at 5819 Sackville Street.
