18th annual beer and fizz festival on the Halifax waterfront with over 400 pre-mixed cocktails, beers and ciders, live music and festival food.
The Halifax Seaport Beer & Fizzfest returns to the Halifax Seaport on the waterfront from Thursday, August 13 to Saturday, August 15, 2026. This is the festival's 18th edition, put on by Make It Happen Events Ltd, and it runs across three evenings with an added afternoon session on the Saturday.
The main draw is the variety: more than 400 pre-mixed cocktails, beers and ciders to sample, and all of them are included with the price of your ticket. You can work your way through as many as you like without paying per drink, so it's a good one if you're the type who likes to try a bit of everything rather than sticking to one pint. Alongside the drinks, there's live music and festival food served up by the water.
There are a few different ways to do it depending on when you can make it. The evening sessions run Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with VIP entry starting at 6 pm and regular entry from 7 pm. If you'd rather spend your day out than your night, there's a Saturday afternoon session that kicks off at 1 pm. Between the three nights and the Saturday afternoon, you've got four separate windows to drop in.
