An outdoor runway show celebrating Indigenous artistry and contemporary Canadian fashion, presented by House of Soli Fashion as part of Halifax Fashion Week 2026.
Halifax Fashion Week is back for its fifth year, and the ROOTED Indigenous & Ready-to-Wear Runway is one of the highlights of the schedule. It's presented by House of Soli Fashion and takes place on Wednesday, August 12, at the Emera Oval (5775 Cogswell Street), an outdoor show set right against the oval itself. The runway brings together acclaimed and emerging designers, professional models, artists and fashion enthusiasts, with collections that draw on Indigenous artistry, contemporary Canadian fashion and modern ready-to-wear design. The evening is framed as an immersive cultural experience where fashion, music, art and community come together.
The show is part of the wider Halifax Fashion Week 2026, which runs from August 8 to 15. This year's theme is ROOTED, a nod to the event's fifth anniversary and a focus on sustainable design and local East Coast talent. The August 12 runway sits right in the middle of that week, so it's one of several things happening across the city during the festival.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m., so you've got a half-hour to settle in before the first walk. The whole thing runs until 9:30 p.m., and since it's an outdoor show at the Emera Oval, it's worth keeping the weather in mind when you're planning your outfit.
