Goodwill Trivia Mondays

Goodwill Trivia Mondays run every Monday at Good Robot Brewing Co. (the Robie Street Pub), 2736 Robie Street, Halifax, NS, B3K 4P2. It's part of the brewery's weekly series, pairing a night of general-knowledge rounds with community giving: the winning team takes home prizes each week, and C$1 from every beverage sold during the event goes to a rotating local nonprofit partner.

There's a bit more to it than just the donation, too. The brewery sets cause-related questions to match the week's partner—like an 'Animals and Nature' round when they're supporting a wildlife group—to raise awareness for the charity's work. It's a nice way to get a bit of context on who the money is going to while you're playing.

It's a long-running thing, too. Since 2015, the pub's goodwill community programs have raised more than C$120,000 for over 400 organisations, with partners including the Ecology Action Centre, Feed Nova Scotia, Cobequid Wildlife Fund, Bide Awhile and TEAM Work Cooperative. The rotating partner means the cause changes from week to week, so if you're not feeling the current one, there's always next Monday.

Teams of two to six players are welcome, and you can reserve a table in advance if you want to make sure your group has a spot. It kicks off every Monday at 7:00 PM.
