Weekly trivia night hosted by comedian Brad Doiron, with proceeds supporting local charities through the Nonprofits of Halifax initiative.
Goodwill Trivia Mondays run every Monday from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Good Robot Brewing Company, 2736 Robie Street in the North End. It's a trivia night that doubles as a fundraiser, and the whole thing is part of the brewery's 'Nonprofits of Halifax' initiative, which brings in a different local organisation each week.
The guest list is wide: charities, animal rescues, arts groups, shelters, sports teams, and community or student organisations all get their turn in the spotlight. The organisation of the week uses the evening to raise awareness, fundraise, and recruit new members, and the brewery puts C$1 from every beverage sold during the night toward their cause. Local comedian Brad Doiron hosts the whole thing under the tagline 'having a beer helps a neighbour'.
The trivia itself follows that same thread. The rounds mix general knowledge with special questions tied to the week's cause, so you'll find yourself answering a few standard trivia questions alongside some that give you a bit more context about the organisation that's benefiting. It's a good way to learn something about a local group you might not have come across otherwise, while you're out with friends.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Halifax and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
