Stand-up comedy show featuring Clare Belford at YukYuks.
Clare Belford is playing YukYuks Halifax on August 21 and 22, two nights in a row. Both shows run from 8:00 to 9:30 pm in The Basement, so you've got your choice of Friday or Saturday.
Belford is a regular on the Canadian comedy circuit, and she's built her stage presence across some of the bigger festivals: Just For Laughs, the New York Comedy Festival, and the Halifax Comedy Festival. If you've seen her on TV, it's likely from CBC's New Wave of Stand Up or The Debaters. She also writes for This Hour Has 22 Minutes, so she spends as much time behind the scenes as she does on stage.
Her debut album, The Entire Cabbage, earned Best of 2021 honours from NPR's Bullseye, which gives you a sense of where she's coming from. Between the festival runs and the writing work, she's spent a fair bit of time in the comedy world, and these two nights at YukYuks are a chance to catch her live in the city.
