Better Times Comedy

Better Times Comedy is back at Good Robot Brewing Co. this Thursday, October 1, starting at 8:00 pm. It's an award-winning stand-up night in Halifax's North End, and it's run every Thursday, so if you miss this one, there's another just a week later. The show has a regular following of local and visiting comics, and it's been named Best Comedy Night at The Coast's Best of Halifax Awards.

The night is built around a raffle that attendees can enter by arriving before the show starts, with prizes from Good Robot, Strange Adventures, and Taz Records. If you want a shot at those, you'll need to be in the building before 7:30 pm to get your name in the draw. Rounding out the evening is a rotating tap deal and 15% off food, drinks, and retail, which makes it easy to settle in for the long haul.

Between the raffle and the discounts, the whole thing is set up for a slow build rather than a rush to the door. You can grab a drink, get your name in the hat, and hang out before the first comic takes the stage. The show runs every Thursday at 8:00 pm at Good Robot Brewing Co., 2736 Robie Street, in the North End.
