Weekly stand-up comedy night featuring Halifax and visiting comedians at Good Robot Brewing.
Better Times Comedy runs every Thursday night at Good Robot Brewing, 2736 Robie Street, in the North End. It's an award-winning stand-up show that's built its following on a regular cast of Halifax comics and visiting acts, so you'll usually see a mix of local favourites and names passing through the city.
Over the years, the bills have featured Clare Belford, a writer on This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and Dan Hendricken, known for CBC's LOL and the Halifax Comedy Festival, alongside Travis Lindsay and Adam Myatt. The show makes the Good Robot taproom its home, and the brewery leans into the night with a rotating C$6 tap each week and 15% off food, drinks and retail—though the discount doesn't apply to tickets. If you get there early, you're entered into a raffle for gear from Good Robot, Strange Adventures and Taz Records.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Halifax and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The show starts at 8:00 pm, with doors open before 7:30 pm for the raffle, so if you're after a chance at the prizes, you'll want to be in early. Otherwise, it's a straightforward Thursday night of stand-up in the North End.
