Electronic artist underscores headlines SWG3 TV Studio in the Finnieston area, presenting her album U.
underscores play SWG3 TV Studio on Tuesday 10 November, with U umru on the bill. The night is presented by 432, and it's part of the tour for her latest record, U, which came out in March 2026.
If you're not familiar with the name, underscores is the recording and producing alias of April Harper Grey. She's a San Francisco-born musician who built her following through a steady stream of one-offs on SoundCloud before stepping out of her solitary origins with the 2017 EP skin purifying treatment. Since then, she's become a leading figure in the bedroom pop and experimental electronic scenes, known for chaotic, genre-fluid music that blends hyperpop, emo and indie rock.
Her third album, U, marks a shift towards late-90s R&B influences, though it keeps the intricate production she's known for. It follows the narrative-driven success of 2023's Wallsocket, so the set should pull from both the new material and the record that came before it. With U umru opening, there's two acts on the bill for the evening.
