A new winter production for 4-8 year olds and their families, a multi-sensory journey realised through puppetry, immersive sound and magical world creation.
Una Imagines runs at Tramway from 9 to 19 December, a new winter production for four-to-eight-year-olds and their families. It's a co-production by Tortoise in a Nutshell, with WHALE Arts Agency and support from Lyra and North Edinburgh Arts.
The show is built around the anticipation, excitement and trepidation of the unknown. It follows Una on a fantastical, imagination-filled walk home from school, where a pet giraffe, a trip to the circus and a move to space spark the possibilities of what could be waiting behind the door. It's a multi-sensory journey brought to life through puppetry, immersive sound and magical world creation. The audience sits primarily on the floor with cushions and mats, and there's an access pack available.
It runs for 45 minutes, with a short post-show activity. The schedule is split across two weeks: Wednesday 9, 10 and 11 December at 1.30pm and 4pm, and Wednesday 16, 17 and 18 December at 1.30pm and 4pm. On the weekends, there are three slots on Saturday 12 and Saturday 19 December: 11.30am, 1.30pm and 4pm.
