A reggae concert by the legendary British band UB40, fronted by singer and guitarist Ali Campbell, at the OVO Hydro.
UB40 ft. Ali Campbell play the OVO Hydro on Tuesday 1 December, with doors opening at 18:30. The bill is just the one: UB40 with Ali Campbell on vocals and guitar.
Campbell was the voice that powered UB40 to 70 million record sales and more than fifty UK chart hits, and his connection to the band goes back forty-five years to his formative time in inner-city Birmingham. The touring ensemble he's working with now is described as the most authentic realisation of UB40's original aim of advancing reggae in all its guises, and the show is billed as bringing reggae cheer to some of the world's biggest stages.
