Trash Cinema screens the 1995 American black horror anthology film Tales from the Hood, with pre-show trailers and free popcorn.
Trash Cinema are screening Tales from the Hood at The Old Hairdressers on Monday 12 October, as part of their Trashfest 2 programme. It's a 1995 American black horror anthology, and the organisers are billing it as a hard-hitting Hallowe'en treat full of killer cops, vigilante dolls and one of the finest cryptkeepers known to film. The anthology format means you get several stories in one, and the whole thing is framed by a narrator who guides you through them, so it's a good one to watch in a room full of people.
It's not just the film, either. The night leans into the cult cinema aesthetic: doors open with a pre-show of retro trailers, ads and trashy entertainment that runs before the main feature rolls. Your ticket also includes free popcorn and sweeties, so you've got the snacks sorted before you even take your seat. The Old Hairdressers, on Renfield Lane in Glasgow City Centre, plays host to the screening, which Trash Cinema frame as the perfect movie to get you ready for the rest of the festival.

Doors open at 7pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm, so you've got half an hour to get your popcorn and settle in before the trailers kick off. Tickets are £5.
