Winter panto written and directed by Martin McCormick, billed as an adult show for ages 16 and over, with a pie and pint included.
The Wonderful Wizard of Partick Cross opens at Òran Mór on Tuesday 24 November, the venue's winter pantomime for 2026. It's written and directed by Martin McCormick, with a cast of five taking the stage. The run goes on until 3 January, so there are plenty of dates to choose from across the Christmas period.
It's a panto for the adults, billed for ages 16 and over, and it puts a West End spin on the familiar story. Dame Dotty and her prized pooch Toaty get caught up in the water and blown away to the magical, if slightly scary, land of Partick Cross. From there, Dotty has to find a wise Wizard, and she doesn't do it alone: she's joined by a fearty Lion, a rusty Tinpot man, and a Scarecrow who's thick-as-mince. Along the way, they're up against the Wicked Bitch of the West End. McCormick promises big laughs and epic songs, and with five people sharing the roles, it's a proper ensemble piece.

The afternoon performance starts at 14:00, and there's a bit of a bonus built into the ticket: every one comes with a pie and a pint. It's £26.00, and since the run carries through to early January, you can catch it whenever suits you best.
