The UK's No.1 guitar anthems concert returns to The Pavilion Theatre as part of its 10th Anniversary Tour, featuring classic hits from guitar legends.
The Story of Guitar Heroes is back at The Pavilion Theatre on Tuesday 27 October, as part of its 10th Anniversary Tour. It's a guitar-focused concert that works its way through five decades of music, from 1950s Rock & Roll up to the most influential guitarists of the modern era. The set is built around the work of some of the biggest names to ever pick up the instrument: Hank Marvin, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Brian May, Jimmy Page, Mark Knopfler, David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore, Tony Iommi, Van Halen and Slash. If you've got a favourite from that list, they're almost certainly in there.
What sets the show apart is the attention to the gear. They use no fewer than 35 authentic guitars throughout the night, switching them out to match the specific sound of each player they're covering. It's not just about the notes; it's about getting the tone right, and the sheer number of instruments on stage is part of the draw. The production has toured both at home and abroad, and this is the 10th anniversary run.

It's a long one, too — the show runs for around four hours, so it's a full evening rather than a quick stop. The Pavilion Theatre is at 121 Renfield Street in the city centre, and the performance starts at 7:30pm.
