The Script live in concert at the OVO Hydro, with special guest James Morrison.
The Script play the OVO Hydro on Friday 13 November, their only Glasgow date this autumn. It's a big room for them, and they'll be taking the main slot with James Morrison as special guest, so you'll get two sets in one night.
If you've followed them for a while, you know the sort of thing to expect: the melodic, guitar-led pop they've built their name on. They're a band that leans into the big, singalong side of things, and the Hydro is the kind of space that suits that. Morrison opens the night, and he's a good fit for the bill — his soulful, raspy voice sits in a similar territory to The Script's own sound, so the evening stays in one general mood from start to finish.
It's a Friday night, which makes it an easy one to build around. Doors open at 18:30, and the music kicks off at 19:30, so you've got plenty of time to get in and settle before the first act takes the stage. If you're coming from across the city, that half-hour window between doors and the start is handy for grabbing a drink and finding your seat without having to rush.
