The Proclaimers return with their thirteenth studio album and live tour, performing at the O2 Academy Glasgow.
The Proclaimers are back at O2 Academy Glasgow on Thursday 3 December, one of two nights they're playing in the city. They're touring their thirteenth studio album, which comes out in 2026, and these Glasgow dates are part of a string of live shows across the UK.
For those who know them, the band is the Scottish duo of identical twins Craig and Charlie Reid. They grew up in Leith and built their following on a stubborn refusal to tone down their strong accent when producers were wary of it early on — a defiance that gave the song 'Throw the R Away'. Their sound sits at a crossroads of pop, folk, punk and new wave, and their catalogue of big-hearted, uncynical songs has spanned more than three decades. It's inspired a hit musical and a film, and produced songs like 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)', 'Sunshine on Leith' and 'Letter from America'.
Beyond the music, the brothers have left their mark on Comic Relief, the TV show Little Britain and the Phoenix nights. This new album and tour mark their return to the stage in 2026, with the Glasgow shows falling on Thursday 3 December and Friday 4 December.
