The Mr Cutts Experience

Mr Cutts brings his debut live show to SWG3 Warehouse on Saturday 24 October, his first Glasgow date. The man behind the name is Owen Cutts, a producer by trade who's worked with some of the most respected names in the game — Stormzy, Kojey Radical, Greentea Peng and Wretch 32 are among them. If those names ring a bell, you've got a good sense of the circles he moves in, though this night is a different beast from the studio work.

Most people will recognise him from Old Music Fridays, the content series that went viral and put him on the map. That's the thread that runs through this show: a deep love of old music, soul samples and storytelling. He describes it as something that goes beyond a traditional DJ set, crossing genres, eras and generations, built around those things and the way music makes you feel. It's less about a single sound and more about the digging and the storytelling that goes with it.

As his first show in Glasgow, it's the first time he's brought this format to the city. If you've followed the online series, this is the live version of that — the same obsession with old records and soul samples, but played out in a room rather than on a screen. It's a debut in every sense, so it's the first time you'll get to hear how he translates that approach to a live set.

Doors open at 6:30pm at SWG3 Warehouse. One thing to keep in mind: the night is strictly 18 and over, and you'll need a driver's licence or passport for entry, so make sure you've got yours on you.
