Critically acclaimed revue paying tribute to Barry White, brought from the USA to The Pavilion Theatre, fronted by vocalist William Hicks.
The Legend of Barry White: Let The Music Play comes to The Pavilion Theatre on Thursday 14 January 2027, with the show starting at 7.30pm. It's a revue dedicated to Barry White, brought over from the USA, and it's billed as the only UK touring show focused on him.
At the front is vocalist William Hicks, who's known as 'the big man with the big voice'. He's a three-time Grammy Award winner from Atlanta, Georgia, whose records have sold over 100 million copies and earned 20 gold and 10 platinum singles. His silky-smooth bass-baritone and stage presence recreate White's distinctive style across a string of million-selling hits: 'Let the Music Play', 'You're the First, the Last, My Everything', 'Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe', 'You See the Trouble with Me', 'Never, Never Gonna Give You Up' and 'Just the Way You Are'.
Hicks isn't on his own, either. He's joined on stage by the live band Soul Unlimited, and the night is supported by the Motown Supreme Dreamgirls. Motown songwriter Eddie Holland, of Holland-Dozier-Holland, called Hicks' vocal delivery 'phenomenal' and the show 'simply stunning'.
