Belgian indie-rock and psych-pop project The Haunted Youth perform live at the historic Stereo Cafe Bar in Glasgow City Centre.
The Haunted Youth play Stereo Cafe Bar on Tuesday 1 December, their Glasgow date on a headline UK tour that brings the Belgian band over to Scotland. It's the project of frontman Joachim Liebens, based in Hasselt, who's become one of the more celebrated European indie figures of recent years. The sound is psych-pop built from dreamy guitars, nostalgic synths and deeply personal lyrics, and it draws comparisons to Slowdive, DIIV and The Cure.
They're touring their second album, Boys Cry Too, which came out in early 2026. The Glasgow show is part of the headline run that follows it, so you'll hear the new material alongside the older songs. If you've been following them, it's a good chance to catch the new record live; if you're coming in fresh, it's a decent way to get a feel for where they're at right now.

The venue is Stereo Cafe Bar on Renfield Lane, in the city centre. It's been trading since 2007 in a building designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and it pairs a dedicated vegan bar and kitchen with club nights and live performances that run into the early morning. The gig starts at 7.30pm, so it's an early one for a Tuesday night.
