Squeeze present their Tried, Tested and Trixies Tour, marking the start of their most ambitious UK tour, with special guest Billy Bragg.
Squeeze are at the OVO Hydro on Thursday 12 November, the first stop of their Tried, Tested and Trixies Tour. It's the start of what they're calling their most ambitious UK tour to date: 16 dates that take them into several arenas for the first time, kicking off here in Glasgow and running through to the Brighton Centre on 5 December.
The tour follows their new studio album, Trixies, their first in eight years. Squeeze were formed in 1973 by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, and they've spent over five decades working as a songwriting partnership. They've talked about drawing inspiration from pairs like Lennon and McCartney and the Davies brothers, and The Guardian has called their live shows 'pop perfection'.
They aren't playing alone: singer, songwriter and activist Billy Bragg is supporting them on the tour. Squeeze also continue to back the charity Trussell, which provides emergency food to people who can't afford the essentials and campaigns to end the need for food banks in the UK.
