Dublin band The Deadlians play folk, punk and psychedelic rock at King Tut's, a strictly 18+ venue.
The Deadlians play King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on Tuesday 15 December, bringing their Dublin-based sound over to Glasgow. They're a band that's hard to pin to one spot: folk songs, punk rock and psychedelic segues all in the same set, held together by thumping drums, a humming synth, evocative guitars and inventive vocal ornamentation. If you've never come across them, they've built a cult following around that mix, and this is one of the nights they'll be playing it out in full.
At the front is Sean Fitzgerald, a Dublin man who wears a few different hats: singer, balladeer, songwriter, poet, storyteller and musician. The band started in 2017 as a four-piece and has since grown into an Irish trad rock five-piece, and they've been described as one of Ireland's best-kept secrets in the alternative folk scene. That description fits the way they work — folk at the core, but with the punk and psychedelic elements pulling it in different directions.

It's a Tuesday night, so it's a mid-week one rather than a weekend slot. Doors open at 19:30 at King Tut's, 272A Saint Vincent Street, G2 5RL. One thing to keep in mind before you book: the show is strictly 18+, so you'll need to be over eighteen to get in.
