A day of talks and workshops by leading experts on the specific issues women with ADHD face, presented by Seed Talks.
The ADHD & Women Summit comes to the University of Glasgow on Saturday 14 November, a one-day series of talks and workshops from experts on ADHD as experienced by women. It's presented by Seed Talks, and they're billing it as their largest event to date, drawing on their best speakers, most engaging workshops and favourite partners. The whole day is built around a specific gap in the conversation: boys are diagnosed three to four times more often than girls in childhood, and by adulthood the ratio evens out to nearly 1:1, which means women are frequently misdiagnosed and misunderstood. The summit brings together leading experts — some with lived experience and some working in the field — to offer practical knowledge for navigating life with ADHD, alongside networking sessions with like-minded people.
The programme covers a wide range of ground. Talks and workshops run through ADHD and connection, the gut and microbiome, internalised stigma, managing stress, and sleep and yoga nidra. The line-up includes Pamela O'Hara, Sarah Osborne, Dr Lucy Thompson, Hayley Broughton-McKinna, Heather Darwall-Smith and Jen Wood. Wood is a good example of the lived experience on display: she was diagnosed with ADHD during menopause in 2023 and now specialises in working with late-diagnosed neurodivergent women.
