Student Thursday's at Vibes Glasgow

Student Thursday's is a weekly residency run by SAB Management at Vibes Glasgow, and it's on every Thursday night throughout the year. The whole thing is built around a fresh line-up of up-and-coming local talent, so the stage is a showcase for Glasgow's newer acts rather than the same old circuit of established names. It's a residency in the truest sense — it happens every single week, not just as a one-off or a short run.

The night runs from 10pm through to 3am, which puts it firmly in the late-night bracket. It's the kind of thing you head to after dinner or a few drinks elsewhere, rather than a place to start your evening. Because it's a weekly fixture, it's easy to keep on your radar without having to plan your whole month around it — if you miss one Thursday, there's always the next one waiting.

Vibes Glasgow is on Sauchiehall Street in the city centre, so it's right in the thick of things and easy to get to from anywhere in town. Entry is £5.00 for regular customers, and students get two tickets for £7.00, though you'll need to show ID at the door to get in.
