Shed Seven (Shedcember X Tour)

Shed Seven are back at O2 Academy Glasgow on Friday 20 November, part of their winter tour Shedcember X. The band have been running Shedcember since 2007, and it's grown into a bit of a cult institution for their fans — the sort of thing that marks the start of the festive season for them. This year's edition is billed as their biggest and most celebratory yet.

Formed in 1990, Shed Seven made their name during the Britpop era and landed several hits on the UK Singles Chart. They split in 2003 but have since reunited for live shows, and the set they play each night is a career-spanning one. You'll hear 'Going For Gold', 'Chasing Rainbows', 'Disco Down', 'On Standby' and 'Talk Of The Town', and they describe it as a celebration of everything they've built over the last three decades.

Supporting them on the bill are The Academic, so there are two bands to get through before the night wraps up. The O2 Academy Glasgow is at 121 Eglinton Street, G5 9NT, and doors open at 19:00 with a curfew of 23:00.
