Whisky tasting festival with hundreds of whiskies and spirits, cocktails, food vendors and live music by Scottish artists at SWG3.
The Scottish National Whisky Festival comes to SWG3 on Saturday 23 January 2027, with two separate sessions to choose from: the first runs from 12:00 to 15:30 and the second from 16:30 to 20:00, with doors opening at 12:00. It's a day split into two, so you can pick the slot that suits you best.
The festival started as a way to celebrate the long-standing link between whisky and Celtic music culture, and it's grown from a single tasting session into a series of sell-out events that move between different host cities. It's billed as a definitive whisky tasting and Scottish cultural experience, and it lives up to that by bringing together hundreds of whiskies and spirits alongside a specially curated bill of live music from celebrated Scottish artists. There are guest spirits too — rum, cognac and liqueurs — and cocktails by industry-leading mixologists, with brewery collaborations and food vendors on hand.
Caskade Drinks Ltd, established in 2023, presents the festival, and it's supported by Summerton Whisky Club, a full-bottle subscription service that delivers rare expressions directly to members' doors. There's an on-site whisky shop where you can pick up bottles to take home, including festival-exclusive bottlings from the retail partners. Entry is restricted to over-18s.
