Rachel Fairburn brings her comedy show Vexy Beasts to The Stand Comedy Club, following her critically acclaimed 2024 show Side Eye.
Rachel Fairburn brings her show Vexy Beasts to The Stand Comedy Club on Saturday 17 October, with the performance starting at 3:00pm. It's a matinee slot, so it's one of those gigs you can catch in the afternoon and still have the rest of your Saturday for whatever else you've got planned.
Vexy Beasts follows Fairburn's critically acclaimed 2024 show Side Eye, and it does exactly what you'd want from a new run: it introduces a stable of new personalities while keeping some of the old favourites around. If you caught Side Eye, you'll recognise a few of the characters she's brought back, and if you're new to her work, there's plenty of fresh material to get stuck into. It's a character-led set, so the comedy comes from the different voices and personalities she cycles through across the hour.
Outside of her own stage work, Fairburn is a co-host of the international podcast hit All Killa No Filla, and she's a regular face on TV. You'll have seen her on Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave), Richard Osman's House of Games (BBC Two), and Russell Howard Hour Life Lesson (Sky). If you've only ever caught her in those guest spots, this is a good chance to see her hold the whole room on her own.

It's a single-act bill, so it's just Fairburn on stage for the duration. The show runs at The Stand Comedy Club, 420 Great Western Road, Glasgow, on Saturday 17 October at 3:00pm.
