An evening of classic horror movies at R CADE, with snacks, drinks and free popcorn for ticket holders.
R CADE is hosting a horror movie night on Wednesday 14 October, with two classic horror films on the bill. The titles are kept under wraps until the night, announced only at the door, though the venue posts hints on its socials beforehand if you want to try and guess them. It's a double bill, with the first film starting at 19:00 and the whole thing wrapping up by 22:00.
If you've never been, R CADE is a retro gaming arcade in Glasgow's East End, described as a fully inclusive venue for gamers of all ages. Its cabinets hold home consoles from the last 50 years, with Atari, Nintendo, Sega, PlayStation and Xbox all represented, and it runs retro video game sessions alongside the movies. The cafe also stocks more than 300 board games to play throughout the day, with hot drinks, snacks and food on hand. It's family-friendly from 12:00 to 19:00 and over-18s from 19:00 to 22:00, and you'll need to pre-book arcade passes if you want to play. Since the movie night runs in the later slot, it falls into the over-18s window.

Tickets are £10, and having one gets you free popcorn and a discounted movie meal deal of hot dogs, nachos and soft drinks. Doors open at 18:00, so there's an hour to get sorted before the first film kicks off at 19:00. You'll be out by 22:00, making it a mid-week one rather than a late night. You'll find R CADE at 121 Saltmarket, Glasgow City Centre, G1.
