Halloween night of cabaret, stand-up, drag and house music hosted by Juno Birch at Drygate Brewing Co.
Queer Theory returns to Glasgow for a Halloween special at Drygate Brewing Co. on Friday 30 October, hosted by Juno Birch. Birch is the self-styled interplanetary comedian, drag icon and alien superstar who, after touring Earth with her sell-out stand-up show Probed, introduces the night as a showcase of the galaxy's most fabulous creatures. It's a long one, running from 7.30pm until 1am.
The bill mixes cabaret with high-energy house from DJ Frankie Elyse, founder of Polka Dot Disco Club, and punk from the duo Comfort. Stand-up comes from BBC regular Eleanor Morton, and drag from Gigi l'Amour. Performance art is provided by dancer Femme Castratrice, while Josh Cake brings poetry and music. There's also a short performance lecture by Jude Judith Arrabbiata, a satirical character created by Violet Vincent McLean.
