A welcoming, informal music night hosted by Jack Heavenor from the piano, featuring live vocals, requests, and an open jam for singers and instrumentalists.
Jack Heavenor hosts Open Jam Thursdays at The Maverick this Thursday, 15 October. A popular weekly fixture running since May 2024, it continues every Thursday through December, offering plenty of chances to drop in over the coming months.
Hosted from the piano with live vocals, accompaniment, and audience requests throughout the evening, there is always live entertainment whether or not other musicians take part. With no fixed setlist, the repertoire spans widely across pop, musical theatre, jazz standards, and original songs.
While singers and instrumentalists of all levels are very welcome to join in and collaborate, there is absolutely no expectation to participate. Many guests come along simply to enjoy the live music and relaxed, welcoming atmosphere in the West End.

The Maverick is at 25 Kent Road, Glasgow West End, G3 7EH. The evening kicks off at 8pm every Thursday and admission is free, so you can simply walk in and listen or bring your instrument and join in whenever you like.
